Because you are the wild sea and unkempt storms and constellations in a world where I am the anchor for everyone I know. And you remind me that I can do impossible things.

The idea of a girl being a scientist or an Engineer or an Astronaut or anything that is even remotely a boy’s “supposed career” is just preposterous. Isn’t it obvious that they don’t have the level of intelligence? Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

So, Norwegian Wood is my first Murakami book and I dived right in with high expectations because other readers were all praises for him. Kafka on the Shore is one of his best works and I planned to read it first but then I read somewhere that I should read Norwegian Wood first to understand his writing style.
